Reflection

When photographing people or objects using one light source there is a strong contrast between the lit up and shadowed part. In photography, shadow is as equally important as the light, because shadows define the shape of the object you’re photographing. If you wish to reduce the strength of shadows then the best solution is the reflective plane. As such plane you can use styropor, paper glued to a cardboard…

The size of a reflective plane needs to match the size of the object we’re photographing. The loss in reflection depends on how much the plane absorbs the light or reflects it. Mirror reflects the most light while darker (especially black) planes absorb the most and reflect the least light. If using colored plane to reflect light, those colors will reflect on the object. Percentage of reflected light is called remission, and losses absorption.

bez Lastolite-a odbijanca.
smanjuje sjene.
